    Making Money Sports Betting

Of all forms of betting there are only two where you can more or less guarantee to make money if you are good at it; these are games of skill such as poker and chess, and sports betting.

The reason why this is the case is because they are the only form of betting in which skill can outrun the rules of chance and probability.

Whatever you might read or hear, there is no such entity as a professional blackjack player, a professional roulette player or any other form of professional gambler apart from professional poker players and professional sports betters. Apart from these last two, it is impossible to make a consistent income out of any form of gambling. You might get very lucky and win enough to allow you to give up work entirely, for instance on the lottery, but you cannot rely on a regular income.

There are many successful sports betters who make a very good income out of what they do and the way in which they accomplish this is by being very good at what they do. They will not win every time, in fact they are likely to lose on more occasions than they win, but by managing the variance of their losses and their wins, they are able to maintain a positive cash flow.

These skills do not come easily. They are the result of developing a deep understanding of the sports in which they are involved, constantly keeping aware of everything that is happening and paying avid attention to every nuance. They do not gamble as such, but they play a numbers game and only bet when they perceive there to be a positive expectation of that bet, which is when the payout is at a ratio which is higher than the actual odds.

Whilst the majority of us do not have the time or the skills necessary to become professional sports betters, one way in which we can manipulate the odds to our advantage is through free sports betting. Free sports betting is used by bookmakers as a promotion to attract new custom, and we should make the best of it as not many things in life are free.

Ashley Cole Out For Some Months

Ashley Cole has been in the limelight again over recent weeks for matters unrelated to football. Rumors are once again flying that Ashley Cole has cheated on wife Cheryl Cole. She has now gone into hiding and he has yet to release an official statement however he might be grateful that he can stay at home with no football commitments.

Ashley Cole plays for Chelsea FC has injured his ankle. It seems that the fractured ankle is going to cause some problems and he is expected to be out of the game until at least May.

He was hurt in a match against Everton, in which Chelsea lost. It seems likely that the defender will miss the reason of the club season.

It is a massive blow for the team as they prepare for their first UEFA league match. They are due to play FC Internazionale Milano on 24 February.

The team is already missing players for this important match. It is likely that they could be missing the likes of Michael Essien, Joe Cole, José Bosingwa, Alex, Deco and Juliano Belletti. However the team still has a number of strong players and are still confident that they can do well.

Although Cole is unable to play and is no doubt devastated by this injury he is probably grateful that he doesn’t have to leave the house and meet the media to play any of the matches. He knows he is due to face questioning RE the recent “sex text scandal” that he is rumored to be involved in.

    Beckham’s Loyalty Tested

We all know that when Manchester United player David Beckham left English football for good there would be a chance that he would come up against his old time. The midfielder now plays for AC Milan and they are due to play against Manchester United this season. This means that David Beckham will be playing against some of his former friends. However he has assured AC Milan that his loyalties well and truly lay with them in a recent press conference. He was quoted as saying “for the first time in my life I will have to hope Manchester United lose”.

Beckham has always supported Manchester United and actually played for them over 400 times in total. During the press conference he spoke fondly of his time at Old Trafford “I grew up in Manchester and I stayed there until I was 27. I thought I would play with them forever. [United manager] Sir Alex Ferguson was like a father to me; even with the highs and lows I only have good memories of him. Many things will come to my mind at San Siro tomorrow night. I have so many memories of Manchester, nice ones.”

Beckham actually plays for the LA Galaxy team however has been on loan to AC Milan since January, his second time playing for the European team. He has also been quoted that in order to have a chance of winning he knows that the AC Milan team will need t have a degree of luck behind them as he knows what a strong team Manchester United are.

Is Wayne Rooney At The Top Of His Game?

It seems that Wayne Rooney is doing so well at the moment his team mates are classing him as unplayable. The England striker scored 2 of the 3 goals in the team’s victory against AC Milan.

A late goal by Clarence Seedorf’s did seem as if AC Milan had a chance to win and win a place in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. However England stomped home with a 3-2 win.

Ronaldinho was the first player in the match to score however this was soon evened up with Paul Schole’s scored for England. Rooney went on to score twice in the second half. Fellow player Darren Fletcher was quick to praise Rooney’s performance. “”Wayne Rooney is unplayable at the moment,” said the Scotland midfielder.”He’s up there on his own at times and he does sometimes get frustrated but his persistence paid off. Those were two great headed goals he scored. He’s on fire and long may it continue.”

The two goals that Rooney scored put him at a total of 25 for the season, and Sir Alex Ferguson believes that this is just the start of it. “He could break 30. This season in particular, over the last two months, there has been a marked improvement in his game. Confidence has a lot to do with it. I just felt he had to improve his goal scoring, which is what he is doing now.”

The whole country is waiting with baited breath to see what else Wayne Rooney has in store for us this season.

Another Player Out Of Playing This Season

It seems that this UEFA championship league is going to be missing a number of its main players. So far a number of the more known players have sustained injury which has left them unable to play.

Ashley Cole is out of the running until at least May due to a fractured ankle. Other players missing for the start of the season include Michael Essien, Joe Cole, José Bosingwa, Alex, Deco and Juliano Belletti.

It seems that Arsenal are not going to have their full team available for the UEFA Champions league as Kieran Gibbs is ruled out for a number of months. It is thought that the 20 year old will missed the whole of the UEFA season that is remaining.

He fractured the first metatarsal on his left foot in a match against R. Standard de Liège. He tackled defender Eliaquim Mangala during the Matchday 5 fixture and came away with the injury.

He has since had healing time however the fracture has not healed as he would have hoped meaning that it is likely he will need an operation. The England Under-21 international is not happy that he is going to miss the matches, quoted as saying “Needless to say I’m gutted – there’s just no other word,” said Gibbs.

He is due to have his operation any day now and they are hoping that this will allow for a full recovery. This will allow him a (delayed) return to professional football. It seems so far he is joining the ranks of many that are missing the UEFA fixtures this season.

Can Fiorentina Turn It Around And Progress Up The League?

Despite losing in the first log of the their first knockout round Fiorentina player Per Kroldrup believes that the team have the skills to progress through out the championship. The Serie A club lost out to Bayern München however defender Kloldrup doesn’t believe

Krøldrup is certain that when they play their next game in Florence against La Viola they have what it takes to go all the way. “We’ll do everything we can. We think we can beat Bayern. We’ve shown we’ve got what it takes. We know we have the potential. We’ve beaten Liverpool twice and we’ve beaten Lyon.” the player has been quoted as saying. He went onto say “We have to stick together, think about defending and a goal will come. I think the way Bayern played was good for us. We like it when the opposition plays the ball around as it’s always difficult to play against us. I think you saw that.” “We needed that performance,” he went on. “We haven’t been doing so well in Serie A, and it is important that we stick together as a team and play a good match. It’s very disappointing to concede a goal like that. We have lacked a little of the energy that we had tonight playing in the Champions League. We haven’t had that in Serie A recently. Perhaps this can help us turn things round.”

All that’s left to see is whether or not his confidence has rubbed off on the rest of the team and if they have what it takes to succeed.
